When this university client decided to refresh its IT department, it wasn’t just about updating furniture—it was about creating a space that truly matched the importance of the work happening there every day. The existing environment felt disjointed and limiting, and leadership wanted something more cohesive, organized, and supportive of both focused tasks and team collaboration.

Proposed Solution
We spent time listening to department leaders and learning how their team operates day to day—where they needed quiet concentration, where collaboration happens, and what the main concerns were. From there, we built a plan centered on practical function, better acoustics, and flexible spaces that could adapt as needs evolve. Smart storage solutions and intentional layouts helped clear visual clutter and improve overall flow.

The Design
The updated space considers existing furniture with the introduction of new furniture and accents in a a thoughtful balance. The design included additional storage space along corridors and within each workspace. Pops of color, layered lighting, acoustic accents, and accessible pathways add  personality while keeping the environment professional and easy to navigate.

The Outcome
The end result is a cohesive, modern IT department that feels organized, comfortable, and ready for whatever the day brings—an environment that works just as efficiently and thoughtfully as the team it supports.
